Monique has created a style of book I’ve never read before a novel in verse.  Through poems Monique tells a story of unrequited love and mixed signals.  The story is beautifully told and rings a little too familiar for me and maybe other poets as well.  I have a tendency to fall headfirst into feelings real world be damned.   But this review isn’t about me this book is an exceptional example of verse pick it up today.

Beautiful Heartfelt Collection.  

This a is a beautiful heartfelt collection of poems.  A wonderful mix of short and long poems.  Monique has a beautiful way of waxing poetic about love and words.  She speaks kindness and hope into being.  You won’t regret this purchase.

Troublemaker, Ghost, Lover, and Wildflower. 

This book takes you on a journey through Laura’s life through her questioning, and struggling with religion.  Through the death of her father, her moving away from all she’s ever known to another land.  Through falling in love and motherhood to finally becoming a wildflower instead of a cultivated flower pruned and perfect.   Laura spins beautiful poems dealing with hard topics I read it on Kindle Unlimited but I might buy a physical copy I enjoyed it so much.

New love, infatuation, obsession, and heartbreak. 

This collection runs the full gamut of a relationship blossoming new love.  Infatuation and then obsession, After getting her heart all wrapped up in someone else comes the inevitable end for so many relationships heartbreak.  This book is wonderful and a pleasure to read and a glimpse into the mind of a poet in a relationship.  I’ll leave you with this quote which I feel in my soul from near the end of the book.  “Keep Hope in the box, I do not call for her.  She gives me things which cannot be had.”

Good First Foray Leaves You Wanting More 

Priyanka provides a strong first release here.   Heartfelt and will leave you wanting more from her.  She starts the book off with plights and delves into topics such as bad memories, the first lie, and depression.  This section is followed by a very short section called intervals containing one poem called Interval.   I do wish this section had a few more poems.  She then follows up with the final section lights.  Where she shows you her turnabout from the plights.  I do wish she had gone slightly more in depth in these poems and shown more than told.   However, this is a wonderful collection and is a steal at $0.99 on Kindle.   I eagerly await her future releases.
