4 Reviews for the price of one

I read 4 new poetry books in the last week and they all deserve a review and a shoutout so here we go.

Skin Split / Peach Pit 
 
Skin Split / Peach Pit is an amazing collection of poems filled with quite a few gems. My favorites are Running / God, I feel the same way a lot of times. Gardening With My Mom, Big God, A Fathers Pain Becomes His Son’s Pain, Nature From A Distance, and Family Hurt. Just these poems alone are worth the price of admission. Do yourself a favor and pick this book up and read it. 

Eyes That have gazed upon the fingerprints of their maker 

I have nothing but praise and admiration for this book.  Harrow Lee shares with us his struggles with God and his own belief. This is a heart wrenching collection of short poems.   If you’ve ever struggled with belief in God read this book you’ll see yourself in these pages.  

Empty Altar 

I thought his last two books were good but this one takes the cake.   Harrow Lee delves deep into his thoughts and bares his confessions for all to see.  He shows us all his struggles and begs us not to run away from him.  I for one am not running.  I just want to give him a hug.  Pick this book up you won’t regret it.   

Her Journey: From The Womb To The Grave 

Raven Myst tells the story of a woman growing up. Falling in and out of love and the heartbreak and devastation that come with. He speaks the words you knew not but have experienced. This was an amazing read that I wholeheartedly recommend. The whole story is told in powerful poems that shout their truth from the page.
