Hard Times And Dark Nights

You’re in the midst of hard times and dark nights

There seems to be no way out

Every path in front of you feels like it’ll rip away a piece of your soul

There are no good choices ahead

Besides to act in love and try to lessen the pain to others

Even if it kills you to do it

Sometimes you have to let people go and let them leave

Especially when it feels like it’s killing you to do so

Because it just might be killing them to stay

I can’t promise you that your own personal trip through hell will be short

I can’t say I’ve been down your particular road

I can’t tell you that the things you fear won’t happen

But here’s what I can do

I can say I’ve been down a similar road

I can say that your trip through hell won’t last forever

I can promise that we are with you in the suck and in the good and bad

I can promise that eventually Times will get easier and the dark nights will end

And brighter days will come

I can’t tell you what they have in store for you

But I can tell you that God provides us with brighter and better days than we can imagine or predict

I can say that he is with you and that he loves you

And so do we

Just hold on tight to his word and promises

And hold on tight to us just as we’ll hold on tight to you. 

I can also promise that we’ll be with you on this path as long as you’ll have us.
