When did you allow yourself to be caught
To be pigeonholed
And set aside
Why did you let someone
Else define your worth
Eagles were never meant to be caught
They were meant to soar
And so the same for you
Don’t let others define what you are worth
What you are capable of
Don’t let yourself be constrained
By the cage others want to put you in
Never let the eagle that is your soul
Be placed within a bird cage
