When you don’t have the strength where do you find it

I find my strength on beaches

In wide green spaces

Underneath the shadow of a tree

Tall and proud

I find it the sound of a rushing creek or river

In the rocking of the waves

In the blueness of the ocean

In the warm embrace of a friend or lover

In quiet moments spent with those most important

When all seems dark and lonely

When all around me is shrieking sound

I seek first the company of loved ones

Then I seek solace in nature

That’s where I find my strength
