Heartbreak Hindsight 20/20

Heart-shaped stone cracked with glowing light shining through the cracks on forest floor

My heart was a dead thing before you brought it back to life. But you tore it in half when you left. Yet somehow it still beat.  You taught me how to love and taught me how to live.

How could I ever forget that.  You tore me in half but with all the love that you gave me to sustain me.  I learned to breath again without your presence.  I learned how to be myself I learned how to write out my feelings and find healing.  I wouldn’t be the strong person I am today without your love and without the heartbreak.

Because when I put myself back together I carried your memory with me.  I learned what Love was like and learned how to dance in the storm instead of crying in the rain.  I learned how to build myself back up I learned how to become me.  I learned how to love myself without you.  I regret nothing about us, I don’t even regret the heartbreak for it helped shape me.

Many view heartbreak as an end.  For me it was a beginning.
