You say you can’t remember what it’s like to not feel cold on the inside
But the sunrise is coming to thaw your insides
You find yourself wishing for the sunlight
Even though you can’t remember what it feels like
I think it’s time you stood outside in the sunshine
And let the sunshine breathe new life into your soul
Sit outside and feel the grass growing beneath you
Hear the birds call to each other
I wish we could go back to the simpler times and redo life
With the knowledge we have now
But instead, we’re stuck here trying to thaw our insides
Frozen by the trials and tribulations we’ve been through
We’re frozen on the inside trying to find a way to thaw our hearts and minds
We’re trying to find the sunlight, but it seems to run away from us
Maybe I’m just stuck trying to live past my regrets while waiting for the sunlight to thaw me
While it seems to always escape me
My regrets are few and far between, but they are heavy weights on my soul
Spreading the ice that threatens to envelop me
So, I’ll sit here under sky waiting for the sunshine to warm me up and thaw my frozen heart
Waiting for the sunlight hoping to find someone to help me grow sunflowers inside the barren land of my heart Frozen On The Inside
You say you can’t remember what it’s like to not feel cold on the inside
But the sunrise is coming to thaw your insides
