Rattlesnake Of Indecision

close up of a rattlesnake on a forest floor

Losing touch in Texas freedoms got the best of me

I’m stumbling with indecision

Praying for the fortitude to make a decision

I’m free of the people who used to torture my soul

Now I’m stuck with indecision as my best friend

Backed in a corner with a Rattlesnake in front of me

God bless the opportunities

And damn this easy living

Where there is no risk there is little reward

Gasping for the fresh sea breeze

I’m stumbling with indecision

Questioning my moral code

I feel bad for not reaching out yet i don’t not at all

Out of sight and out of mind

I’m not the only one at fault here

People drift apart I guess especially when passive aggressiveness rears it’s ugly head

Drunk on freedom stuck on choice

I don’t know what to do anymore

Just listening for the rattles noise

Oh love is like a rattlesnake

Before it bites it tries to warn you

Does it block my self-destructive path or cause it

Self-absorbed most of the time

Obsessed with sex and suicide

Though I have no intent

Mind both dulled and enriched by the medication I take

I’m drunk on freedom and stuck on choice

Instead of to be or not to be to which the answer is always to be

It’s to reach out or not

To involve myself again in that destructive path

Inspired by Jack Van Cleaf and Zach Bryan’s Rattlesnake
