After 35 years on this earth I find
Myself yet again beyond the borders of
My experience
Driving through the fog this morning
I realized I traversing an alien world barren of all landmarks
Just like I am experiencing every day now
My Everest has disappeared I can still feel his presence
More by his absence than anything
Even if the fog covers my whole world
The fog swirls and lifts and I find myself
At once familiar surroundings
Now forever changed and tainted
By the absence in my skyline
As I struggle and fight my own mountain
My future legacy
The mountain I will be takes shape in others skylines
As I travel through this sea of fog
Beyond my experience beyond my expectations
I wonder if everyone else feels as lost as i do these days
With my skyline forever changed
And one of my compass points fallen off of my compass
If so it’s no wonder the world is the way that it is
But I will soldier on into the great unknown beyond the borders of my experience
I will continue through the fog
I will never stop
Ever onwards and upwards
I’ll never stop.
inspire by both the fog this morning and the song Who Laughs Last by Lord Huron
