Feels like I’m stuck under water
Swimming through a fog
No up or down no left or right
Complete disorientation
They tell me to breathe easy for a while
But how am I supposed to breathe easy
When it feels like I’m drowning
How am I supposed to do that right now
How do you continue
When it feels like your life is falling apart
When everything you’ve ever known
Is being called into question
When the depression gets too deep
When life hits you upside the face with a bag of lemons and rocks
You scream that’s not fair there were rocks
While life laughs and says got you
How do you get up and go on
How do you move past this shit
How do you keep it up
When you feel like you’re drowning
You have to look your troubles square in the eye
And say today will be a better day
And believe it
No matter how hard it is
You have to believe that a better day is coming
That it’s not just pain and turmoil around every bend
That brighter days are coming
Cause I promise they are
Eventually every rain storm breaks
Every night comes to an end
Every valley reaches a peak
I know it’s tough
I know it’s hard
I’ve been there
Where you are
Sometimes all you can do is grin and bear it
But every day is a victory in and of itself
Every day lived
While fighting even if you’re on your last leg
Pinned against a wall
Is a gift
We’re not promised anything when it comes to this life
But it’ll never get better if you surrender to it
Stand up and make life your Bitch
Put it back in its place
Tell your troubles not today Satan and keep trucking on
Always onward
Always upward
