Sharks lurk everywhere
Some wear suits and ties
Some wear the trappings of the poor
Some look like you and me
Can’t you see the fins circling you
Can’t you see the sharks closing in
Can’t you smell the blood in the water
It’s yours and mine
Do you see the religious conmen
Praying on the weak
Sharing a watered-down gospel
If even that
Can you see the snake oil salesmen
Hawking their wares
Guaranteed to kill cancer
You don’t require medical treatment
Only this supplement
There’s sharks swimming all around
Feeding on the weak and feeble minded
Feeding on the strong but gullible
Feeding even on those you thought would never swallow
Their lies hook line and sinker
They parcel out false hope
For a better life
To be cancer free
End the pain
Whatever their lie needs to be
To get you to consume their product
To listen to their blasphemy
Remember the devil wears a suit and tie
He may even appear as an angel of light
2 Corinthians 11:14
Many have been lied to and led astray
Beware the false prophets
Matthew 7:15
Beware the sharks
Rely on the word of God
And verifiable claims of medicine
Don’t be the blood in the water
