The ocean and the beach
It’s my favorite place
Nothing relaxes me
Quite like the sound of the ocean
The sand beneath my feet
The water lapping at my legs
Even the seagulls cries are comforting
Some of my happiest memories are by the ocean
It’s sad to me that I live so far from it
Maybe one day I’ll retire by the ocean
But for now I’ll dream of the ocean waves
And wait for the next time I’m touched by the sun and the waves
So I’ll just sit here and write
Dreaming of a house by the ocean
Enjoying the memories of the smell of salt
The taste of the fresh caught red fish and shark
Hoping that the next time I go
I catch a kingfish
Best damn fish I’ve ever had
So I’ll plan my next seaside getaway
And wait and dream of my happy place
As I sludge through my day to day
Which really ain’t that bad
