But sometimes better

For when the marrying couple truly

Love the others children

They are all bound together by love

They are bound together by choice

Biological families are not bound by choice

Bound by blood and most often love

Blended families are different

They might not be your original father or mother

But they’re there for you

They love you

They chose you

There in that fact lies a special kind of beauty

They chose you to be a part of their family

A part of their tribe

A part of them

What is a family chosen

But the best kind of family

Not all blended families are like what I’ve said

But that not what I wish to speak over you

I speak of hopes and dreams

Of brightness and love

For that is what I wish for you and yours

With all that I have with all that I am I speak love over you
