We’re in the homestretch of the hard times
We’ve been laid low by the evils of this world
We’ve been laid low by demons
Laid low by our own addictions
And naysayers
We took a hard left
To a tall cliff
And fell like the rug was pulled out from under us
But the house don’t fall when the bones are good
We put our faith in God
Therefore we have a strong foundation
We don’t put our faith in the houses of men
But in the firm foundation
Jesus gave
The paint peels and sometimes the
Glass does shatter
But we are and have always been more than
Our addictions
We are, have always been, and will always be God’s children
We were Gods children before we accepted our destinies
Now we’re building back up
We’re taking and building back up from the
Old bones of our own houses
We’re taking out the rot
And building back up putting in new posts
New frames
Redesigning our old spaces
So its more efficient
Putting up fresh clean drywall
Artfully putting on new paint
Under the watching and approving gaze
Of our loving father
Putting in new double pane windows
So we build our house up better than before
Where there’s hope there’s healing
And where our God is there is hope
