Nothing in this life is ever promised
No day guaranteed
Every chance you get to spend time with someone may be the last
There is no guarantees
There is nothing but fine sand slipping between your fingers
From a broken hourglass spilling out onto a beach full of sand
No matter what you do you can’t find the sand that fell out and place it back in the glass
Even if you could it wouldn’t turn back time
The future is unwritten but no day is guaranteed
Which is both horrifying and exciting
I might die before I hit my 40’s I might become an octogenarian
Hell who knows I might become a centenarian
But I doubt that outcome very much
But you never know
Nothing is promised there are no guarantees
You might live to be 100 or just 27
You might get cancer or Alzheimer’s or you may not
The doctors may promise you 2 more years but their words are written on paper
And aren’t worth paper they’re written on
There are no promises no guarantees when it come to when your life will end
Tomorrow could be your last or you could live to be a 120
So make the most of every moment
Live life to the fullest
Ask that beautiful person out
Take that risk
Jump out of that plane with that parachute
Write that poem or write that book
Times a wasting while you’re doing nothing
Time marches on while we are blissfully unaware of the passage of time
Until its too late and we go kicking and screaming into that long dark night
It’s never to late to until your times up which could be any day so why not live in the here and now
Quit holding onto the past and trying to live in it
Or always thinking about the future and worrying about it
