The featured image and this image here in combination inspired this poem. Enjoy!

Now with a recorded reading
Sitting here in this field of broken dreams
Full of the gravestones of the long gone and forgotten
I can’t help but reminisce
On the brokenness of some of my own dreams
Each gravestone is its own tale of broken hopes and dreams
Here at this graveyard next to the roaring sea
Beneath a starlit sky
Its been so long since I’ve truly looked at the ocean above us
The sea of stars
It makes this vast cemetery of broken dreams seem so small
As I listen to the waves roar and crash against the rocks
I can’t help but feel lost
Yet found
In this vast ocean of stars, we are flying through
Here I sit
On a nothing important backwater planet
The perfect distance from its sun
Not to hot nor to cold
Here we sit
On a planet against all odds bearing life
We are infinitesimal in this sea of stars
Yet here we sit against all the laws of possibility
And against all odds
That this planet has life
That your parents met
And produced you
Out of the billions of other people they found each other
Out of the hundreds of different combinations of children they could have had
They had you
Here we sit
And I know that this planet
This place has a purpose
That we have a purpose
Pre-ordained whatever you want to call it
There is a higher being
There is a God
I believe that all these broken dreams mean something
They’re all a pebble on a road to something
We’re all on a cog on a great machine
Every broken dream and every achieved one
A dot of paint on a canvas so immense
We can’t conceive of it
But it’s beautiful
So, I’ll paint with the blood sweat and tears of my life this dot
And just like a pixel form part of a greater picture

You did that painting justice, 100%. Much love!
Thank you it was an awesome painting and my favorite from yesterday.
