Is insane

Everywhere you look, listen, and read

Across all sites, yards, tv ads, radio ads, and the internet

Politicians proclaiming what they’ll do new and better

While they always proceed to do the same thing

Argue, and lie

While moving the bars of progress millimeter by millimeter

Behind on the times

Dancing to the beat of the drums

Of the rich and powerful

Ignoring the needs and wants of the people

Who actually voted for them

If you hold a professional liar’s competition

Politicians need not apply

They’ve already won their awards

They’re coming for you

Their goal? shout down and smear the competition

Sell themselves to you not as a person but a product

Attempt to buy your vote

While they’re already bought and paid for

How long must we endure their bullshit

How long until we start a revolution against them and their lies
