Like a bullet from a gun
So, travels hate
Damaging both the wielder
And the target
Hate is a double-edged sword
That cares not who it hurts
Its anger cannot be sated
And it requires so much energy
To upkeep
I don’t hate I don’t have the energy for it
Hate is a poison
Fast acting
That attacks without discretion
It poisons the heart of those who hold it
And lays waste to its targets
Its only known antidotes are love
And forgiveness
Remember forgiveness is less for those
Who wronged you and more for you
Forgiveness enables you to let go
When you don’t forgive you’re
Trapping yourself in a cycle of hate
You never have to tell the person they’re forgiven
But remember hate is a poison that attacks the heart
