Come and fly away with me
As we jump off the edge
We’re jumping off the edge of the known
Into the edge of the unknown abyss
Where we’ll either fly, fall like feathers, or fall like rocks
There’s no way to know until we jump
Like a baby bird learning to fly
There is no choice but to jump and stretch those wings
Something’s always going to bring a change
It might as well be you who initiates it
It’s time to find out if you’re going to soar or crawl
Sink or swim
Fly or fall
The best thing about life is it’s full of second chances
And thirds and fourths
Life is a never-ending cascade of second chances until you hit that final wall the grave
Come and fly away with me take your second, third, or whatever number chance and try to fly
Try to soar we were never meant to crawl God gave us his strength and made us in his image
Don’t waste your potential trying to crawl when you were meant to soar on wings like eagles.
Let us fly high like Icarus till the sun warms our wings
Though life might drag you down on occasion
The sun wont melt your wings because you’re not made of wax and feathers
You’re made of sterner stuff than that.
Otherwise you wouldn’t have survived crawling along in the trenches.
