Rolling On, Turned To Dust

If You’re asking my opinion, I’m just an ordinary man

God knows my intentions and he knows just where I stand

Right is right, and wrong is wrong, no matter what side you’re standing on

When I see the things that man can do it makes this poor heart break

I no longer believe the heart is inclined to Good

Only Wickedness the first impulse is almost always selfish and self-serving

That doesn’t mean we are without hope, it just means we need to be trained

Trained to be better, by others and ourselves

Rolling on, and rolling on it won’t be long till we’re gone, and turned to dust

So, try to do as much Good as you can

Strive to leave the world a better place than you found it

That’s all I can really ask for

A lie’s a lie, and Truth’s a truth

Something to think upon because it’s all up to me and you

Before we’re turned to dust

The only way the world changes is through our strife

Through our effort

We can rely on God but he uses us to change the world

To change hearts, to change minds

But we are not responsible for those changes He is

We struggle and strive to be better this is our fate

Rolling on, and rolling on turned to dust
