Finding Love and Healing Through Faith

I’m gliding through not soaring under my own power 

Through the highs and lows of this life 

While soaring I’ve been to the highest highs and felt my wings burn and melt 

Under the heat of what i though was the sun burning me for straying to close 

But turned out to me playing with matches and accelerants because I didn’t feel like i deserved love 

I’m flown so low I crashed and burned and had to walk and crawl 

A long and lonely path back up to the heights to launch again  

But through it all God has always been by my side 

Without his grace without his healing, I would not have survived that November 13^th, back in 2013 

I had crashed harder than I ever felt possible and I was already on the ground when it happened 

I fell into a pit, and I was tired and I gave up 

I took those pills, and I laid me down to sleep praying never to wake and the Lord my soul to take 

For the pills were counted and weighed 

The cost had been calculated, and I was finally ready to pay 

And pay I did 

But death spurned me on the orders of a just and loving God who said not yet 

Your time hasn’t come 

I have plans for you  

Good plans better than you can dream of 

You have lives to save and lives to change 

You have books to fill with your poetry 

You have war to fight yes but you will be victorious, but this is not the way 

So, I slept for almost 48 hours, and I awoke groggy and feeling like shit but alive 

I had been saved yet again by the Gods that I had turned my back on 

Because he wouldn’t stop the pain, the depression 

But he never stopped loving me 

He never stopped chasing me 

I tell you today 

He has never stopped chasing you never stopped loving you 

No matter what you’ve done  

No matter who you are or where you are in life 

 He has never stopped Loving you 

Slow down the running quit covering your ears 

He’s calling your name out, calling to you saying come let me in child let me love you 

His name is Jesus, and he loves you and he’s never stopped 

Will you listen and accept his Love or keep running  

The choice is yours he doesn’t force us to accept his love or his forgiveness 

Forgiveness we sorely need for we are sinners every one of us 

Accept him let him lift you up to new heights soar under his power  

Because he doesn’t look at you saying you’re worthless you sinner 

He stands by your side with his arm around you saying we can fix this if you’ll let me help 

All you need to do is accept him and let him in.
