Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed? Hunter S. Thompson
Some want a peaceful existence where they risk nothing and gain nothing
A life without adverse consequences a life of peaceful refinement
I say you can fuck off with that nonsense
A peaceful life with nothing risked is a worthless life to me
If nothing ever happens than what good is this life of so-called peaceful contentedness
You can’t be content without having been uncontented
You can’t truly appreciate peace
Without strife
Love without hate
You must experience both extremes to know the true glory of either
Give me a tumultuous life full of experience of ups and downs
Throw me out into the seas of life
So that i may experience it and live
Not as some background character stuck behind the curtain
But living life Boldy center stage
Rocked to and fro by the tempest and the waves
As the violin and the piano play on and on
Let me skid into the afterlife like a broadside from a ship smoking
Thoroughly used up and worn-out yelling that was one hell of a ride
As the piano plays my funeral dirge
Don’t let me go into the grave perfectly preserved utterly devoid of having truly lived
